We spent just one night because we had a flight in the early morning, but I would book this again certainly. This is really close to the airport 10m by car, really close to the Montenegro's border, and there's a small village nearby if you want to do some shopping. There’s a grocery store 5m walking. And they also sell pizzas and grill in the restaurant in the back of the property.

The villa was in a quiet location about 15 minutes from the airport with stunning mountain views. The beds were comfortable and the villa was well equipped. The pool area was secluded and the villa is not overlooked. We were left alone for the entire 11 days, there is a washing machine to wash the towels, etc. We would definitely recommend this family villa.

We have just spent a week in this gorgeous place. The house is full of character and very comfortable. Lela, the owner, has thought of everything that you might need during a stay. The location is fantastic, only a short drive from Dubrovnik Airport but you feel like you have been transported away from the busy world. The garden is lovely and private, a great place to sit and relax. It is a great location for a base to visit all the stunning locations in the region and Gruda is small but friendly with a choice of bars and restaurants and very friendly people. Lela is the best host you will ever find, so friendly, kind and generous. She provided us with chilled beers and breakfast provisions the night we arrived and cheered us up with delicious homemade pancakes on a particularly rainy day (such a thoughtful lady). We are already talking about a return visit. Thank you Lela!

Overall - it was great stay. But - first of all - if you are looking for location by sea-side, with easy access to beach and drink bar opened 24/7 - well, this is NOT location for you. But if you are looking for peaceful place, far from crowds and noise, with great view on the mountains, really nice staff, very helpful owner (which provided me transfer to/from airport - without additional charge) - then this is location for you. If you want to explore surrounding attractions - like Dubrovnik or Kotor harbor - this is also good place- but you will need rental car.

I had an excellent stay at Marita’s apartment! Communication was smooth and easy from start to finish. The apartment was spotlessly clean — truly one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed in through Airbnb. It’s very functional, with everything you need: a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, a clean bathroom, and a cozy bedroom. I also really appreciated the possibility to do laundry on-site. The location is perfect, especially if you have an early flight, as it’s very close to the airport. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Extremely friendly host. Due to highway shutdown due to snowstorm we were forced off highway, hence arrived a few hours late past mid night. The host waited and greeted us with big smile. Apartment is spacious, clean and well equipped. Will stay here again when we are in Dubrovnik next time.

    A car is needed to explore the area's attractions. Two restaurants, a pizza place, numerous bars, grocery stores are all within walkable distances. Mountain villages, wineries, a castle, olive groves, and steep well marked trails are nearby.

    This is our second visit and the good restaurants we visited...

    This is our second visit and the good restaurants we visited in 2016 have been added to with a couple of extra restaurants and bars but it is still very quiet. It is a drive to Dubrovnik and while the Konavle valley is beautiful, there isn't a lot of tourist things to do in the immediate area. If you want tourist attractions you will have to go North to Dubrovnik or South into Montenegro. If you want a relative quiet, relaxed pool holiday though, it is great.
