super location outside of the Dubrovnik tourist madness, accessible to it by a direct bus. The waterfront on a cove was quiet and lovely. The breakfast tasted good and offered enough food, also for vegetarians

Excellent and clean apartment with two bathrooms. Very hospitable owner. We arrived very tired and the owner offered ice cream and drinks to the children, beer to the men, wine to the women. Convenient location, opposite the house there is a bus stop, 20 minutes we were already in the tourist center of Dubrovnik. But most of all I liked the view of the bridge and the bay from the terrace.

The flat is very cozy and has everything you need! Supermarket 5 mins away walking and you can get to the sea 5 mins walking too. It's a lovely place to stay if you want peace and quiet. Staff was super nice and welcoming, also gave us tips on how to visit Dubrovnik! Massive plus was how well the air-conditioning worked.

    The Arboretum Trsteno was an interesting place, a respite from the heat. It was cool in the trees. Game of Thrones episodes are filmed at the fountain! But there is no cafe, only a vending machine. Walking down to the sea for a swim was worth it, but you need sturdy footwear, water and snacks.

    Mokošica is a dormitory suburb of Dubrovnik.

    Mokošica is a dormitory suburb of Dubrovnik. It is not interesting or particularly attractive per se, but is an excellent base to visit the Old Town (just 10 min. by bus) and to explore the surrounding area by car -- from Cavtat in the SE to Ston in the NW.

    The roads were mixture of loads of corners and bends but...

    The roads were mixture of loads of corners and bends but drivers are so fantastic and professionals. We ate at pizza laus which was so close to the apartment and the beautiful bāckerei which is opposite the bus stop. Also the Asian restaurant by the bus stop in town.

    It's like any other typical suberb. 10-12 kms away from main...

    It's like any other typical suberb. 10-12 kms away from main town centre. Nothing much to see and do there except a few of restaurants but it's quite accessible from Dubrovnik Old Town by Taxi/Uber so commute is not a big issue. If you can afford it then best to stay near to the Dubrovnik Old Town to get the best out of your stay

    Very quiet and safe neighbourhood, shops and restaurants open every day, until late. Excellent public transport, regular and cheap. Swimming is allowed almost everywhere, clean sea water. Beaches are mostly stone/pebble, only very few sand. Nova Mokošica has two very good local restaurants: Laus and Šica. Large portions, small prices. The staff speak English. Because of the landscape, walking means using stairs, a lot. Dubrovnik and its surroundings are not for people with a walking impairment or for people who tire easily. Stari grad (Old City) is both interesting and a tourist trap. Every third shop sells Game of Thrones stuff. If, like me, you never watched GoT this is really annoying.

    If you are planning via public transport, watch out for...

    If you are planning via public transport, watch out for exact public transport bus number as both 1a and 1b are named as Mokosica/Nova mokosica but drop yo at places which can be really really far off from your hotel.

    We stayed in Mokošica near Dubrovnik and had a wonderful time! Tomislav was an excellent host – very kind, helpful, and welcoming. The apartment was spotless and comfortable, with a nearby bus station for easy trips to the city centre. The location was peaceful and convenient, with a supermarket open until 22:00 close by. Highly recommended!

    Location good to the airport, Dubrovnik, Split, Mostar, free parking - parking is really expensive in Dubrovnik, bus stop to the center in front of the hotel, near the hotel grocery stores and restaurants (recommend Laus and Sica), good air conditioning, the owner is very friendly
