We were enthralled by the nature, we loved the diverse beaches, the restaurants and food were great, the locals extremely friendly, and for those wondering about Zrće - yes, it is just as lively and fun as everyone is saying. Pag is an island of many faces.
Pag is an island of many faces. Various beaches, hiking trails, historic town, deserted areas and "night life" options on Zrča beach (not my favourite pastime though). I wish the developments near Novalja would slow down because they are changing the island ireversibly, increasing the pressure on scarce natural resources. It is famous for its strong wind (bura) on the eastern side, regional hard cheese, olive oil. Some of my favourite places - hiking trails and beaches near Metajna, olive grows near Lun, the old town of Pag. To get around you need your own car (or a boat). Accessible from the S (via bridge) or from N and NE (via ferry from the island Rab or from mainland). I'd avoid driving into the center of Novalja town, especially the undeground garage of the supermarket. Groceries and restaurants are all around, bigger supermarkets only in the towns of Pag and Novalja.Guest review byCarniolaSlovenia - 10.0

The island very unique feature an inner sea, where you can find lots of very nice beaches. Here the beautifull sea meets with scenic, rugged mountains, so you can hike&swimm. We had a toddler with us and there was a lot to do to keep her entertained and safe. I really cant describe how lovely the place is. Pag as an island has a special atmosphere that has its own beauty and this place allows one to appreciate it. 10/10 would do again and we usually do not travel to the same place twice. Landlord is very open, helpfull and kind person. Apartment is located close to the shore and not that far from the Pag town. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Each apartment has separate entrance, so you even don't see other guests. Also we could use large space outside the house, to relax in the shadow. Our dog was very happy too :).
