Though it's not super-modern inside, I found the atmosphere of the place very congenial. This was added to by the kindliness of the lady that I dealt with, Ana, who went out of her way to be helpful. And the cat. There is a small swimming spot just a few metres away.

If you want to rest your mind and body, Apartments Vinko are the perfect place. Nestled in a peaceful little bay with a secluded beach, they offer stunning views from the terrace. Everything is spotless, well-equipped, and cared for with great attention. Mr. Vinko and his entire family are wonderfully kind and welcoming. We stayed for 6 days and stayed in the apartment on the ground floor. The apartment fully corresponds to the pictures from Booking. Everything was perfect, and the most beautiful part is the terrace with a view of the Sobra. In addition to the incredible natural beauty of the island of Mljet, I would also like to single out the owner of the apartment, who is extremely polite and hospitable. Recommended to everyone!

Great location, next to the seaside, in the heart of charming Sobra village. The place is huge and the view from the room I was in is spectacular. Unfortunately, we were there for 3 days only, but this apartment seems suitable for longer stays as it offers everything you could wish for. There are two bathrooms, one in each floor, which is super handy if there are more people. There was a bottle of locally-produced olive oil in the kitchen, which you can freely use, and then buy some more if you want. We did just that, and I can highly recommend it, it's a really good oil.

The apartment is great for two people - clean, tidy, has everything you need (including dishes and bedding). The location is very quiet and calm. The hosts were really kind and accommodating - after our checkout the ferry to the mainland wasn't running due to strong winds, and the hosts offered we could stay in the apartment during the day to rest while we're waiting, if we wanted to. The best part about this apartment was the balcony and the beautiful view of Prožurska luka!

    Nice small village with 2-3 places to eat. Great view to the sea and private beaches for those staying near the sea. It's easy to get to other visiting spots on the island because the roads are in good shape. Nice people living in there.

    A quiet seaside village with gorgeous clear water to swim in...

    A quiet seaside village with gorgeous clear water to swim in, and a fifteen minute walk away is a little beach with turquoise clear water. A short drive away is a National Park. There is a lovely restaurant in Sobra, called Lanterna, that is right by the water and serves delicious seafood, and the best spaghetti marinara we have ever had! Very special.

    Sobra is tiny and suitable for people wanting an...

    Sobra is tiny and suitable for people wanting an exceptionally quiet holiday, or who have a car or bike to get about & see more of Mljet. It has two restaurants and a sandwich shop and a very small mini mart with extremely limited stock (eg no eggs or hard cheese the week we were there). The restaurants are fine- one is predominantly pizzas and the other has a good choice. There are some walks out of Sobra if you’re ok with very hilly terrain and rough underfoot.

    The situation of this property is absolutely wonderful. It’s amongst trees so has lots of shade - useful when it’s hot and sunny. It’s also directly across the small bay from Sobra so there’s a great view, either from the balcony or the two lower levels of seating outside that we were welcome to use, one of which was directly at sea level. It was a great place to have an early evening beer! The hosts were very welcoming and the apartment was spotlessly clean. We slept very well in the comfy bed.

    This is paradise – modern stylish rooms, lots of space, beautiful seating areas overlooking the bay, sunbeds on the shore where you can have a refreshing swim. The host is also very nice and helpful – good communication and easy check-in. Ideal base to discover Mljet, as Sobra is located in the middle of the island. Only 2km from the ferry from Peljesac. Sobra has two restaurants, one take-away and a small supermarket.

    It was a perfect stay in Vinkos apartment. He is very good host. We had more than we needed. Small grocery store in Sobra and a little bigger reachable by car in near town. Would definitely recommend this apartment if you look for a peaceful stay.
