The accommodation perfectly met our expectations. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, a balcony and AC. There was a shop and the beach right across the street. The shared bathroom was clean and I only had to wait for a few minutes once. I've read many reviews complaining about the staff. Based on my experience, the owner only knows a few words of English, but she is very friendly and helpful. I always got the information I needed, and we even had a nice chat by combining different languages. The only other staff member we met was the cleaning lady, who only speaks Croatian but always greets you with a smile or a few words. The breakfast was really nice. There were three types of cereal, apples, bread, toast, jams, Nutella, honey, processed cheese, biscuits, salty cheese, millet porridge, coffee, tea, milk, and water. After a while, the owner also brought chilled water, fruit juice, and scrambled eggs to each table. Unfortunately, we left too early because pancakes were being prepared in the kitchen :) Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would happily have stayed a few more days.

We had an amazing experience everything was perfect—from the beautiful, clean, and well-equipped space to the excellent location with nice view. Lucja met us right after our arrival, so we didn't have to wait. We have a sea view, and all kinds of home electronics are working. 2 minutes on foot to the closest beach, where you also have the possibility to jump from the pier into the super clear water. Just nearby is the centre with restaurants, bars, ATMs for cash withdrawal, so if you would like to spend as much time as you can on the sea, that's a good place. Owners are super kind and warm to their guests.

Everything. Place is ultra clean, very nice location in charming village with beautiful views. Host welcomed us like we are part of his family, and went step further for any our request. I was just a step for us for next destination but turned out to be amazing experience. Close to village is National Park, and the seashore down is charming and calming. Breakfast was great, Rakia even more. Definitely would recommend and come back.

Nice apartment, spacious, clean and has everything you need. Balcony is small but has an amazing sea and mountain view. We enjoyed our stay. Beach, market and city center are only few minutes away and it is walking distance to NP Paklenica. Host Marija is helpful and friendly.

    A small city with a lot to do. Not too crowded, with a living night life. This is a city that is not well known yet and it is evolving tourist wise. Best thing for price/quality. Parking are cheap or free, restaurants are not too expensive...

    Starigrad Paklenica is an interesting blend between sea and mountain, a place like no other.. You can enjoy what the sea has to offer you, boat trips, snorkeling, etc, and furthermore, having a nice hike in the mountains, maybe climbing up the walls in the National Park, where you can find the climb experts waiting to teach you how to safely walk up the walls... You can really find here good food, nice people and beautiful places like Vecka Kula Beach, Riviera Paklenica, Velebit National Park, Cernovac Caves and the rest of them, I invite you to discover yourself traveller..

    Hated that Booking did not state that our Apartment was next...

    Hated that Booking did not state that our Apartment was next to a late night dance club. Wanted a quite stay in a quiet place next to the sea but was rudely kept up late into the night. When I want a party Vacation I may come back to Starigrad Paklenica, but unfortunately this trip was for peace and quiet so I would avoid Starigrad Paklenica for those who want a Peaceful and Elegant Croatian trip down the Jadranska Magistrala.

    You have mountains (hiking) and the seaside (swimming) in the same location. Nearby it's a natural park Paklenica well worth visiting. The main road wasn't too busy so the place is quiet enough.

    The city is without any historic center.

    The city is without any historic center. It riminded me more of a typical Spanish tourist resorts, which is a reason I do not go for holiday to Spain but to Croatia. This is not a typical historic small Croatian town like Stari Grad on Hvar, otok Rab or bigger cities.

    Great place for hikers, climbers and nature lovers.

    Great place for hikers, climbers and nature lovers. Small and calm town/ village close to NP Paklenica. Perfect opportunity for all those who want to avoid crowds and wish to experience Croatia in a bit different way (hiking tours or climbing instead of spending time on the beach).

    If you are going to Paklenica, choose this place to stay! Amazing staff. Helped us with anything we may asked for, feel like they did an extra effort and it was beyond our expectations. It was a weekend with lots of rain, but we still have an amazing time in Starigrad, because of the fantastic staff. The hotel is close to the center, and is a quiet place. You sleep great. Staff are flexible to meet your needs and very friendly. If you go to Starigrad, stay here!

    Room was good size and bed was really good size, comfy mattress. Breakfast was really good. Owner very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night. Bathing was good, straight from hotel into the sea.

    I loved my vacation at Villa Rajna. The location was excellent—close to restaurants and the beach, which was perfect. The rooms were very nice and clean, and the hosts were very kind and hospitable.

    The location of this hotel is just in the entrance of Pakkenica National Park. The price is pretty reasonable, and the owner is hospitable. Also they offer laundry service which is really helpful.
