Ber is an authentic working farming town at the end of the paved road. It is surrounded by forests and fields among rolling hills. Each of the towns in the area has their own identity and pride of it. Ber has tens of thousands of roses in public places and front yards.. The area is a treasure trove of folk art and traditions but not touristy. The rolling hills and quiet farm roads are suitable for bicycle tourism. Ber is also on a pilgrimage trail devoted to the Virgin Mary. Very quiet, I believe the only restaurant is at Malom Udvar. A good area map is a must, unless you speak Hungarian.
