Fonyód was reasonably clean and pleasant town.
Fonyód was reasonably clean and pleasant town. In places quite smelly, some houses need a bit of love and well kept houses have wildly diverse architecture, but generally the town feels safe and offers a lot of restarurants, ferry service, some water attractions and playgrounds for kids. Be aware though, very very few people (even young) speak foreign language there. What a difference in comparison to Györ in the North of Hungary, where everyone we met in the public areas spoke either English or German on a reasonable level. People are neither unfriendly, nor friendly; I fell like they just don't care about foreign tourists and mostly avoid communication due to a language barrier.Guest review byLIBOR

Has aircon, TV, washing machine etc. Great location. 1km to Fonyod flat walk. Nearby is a snack-shack and a couple of lakeside restaurants about 15min walk. Pool is a bit cold but useable. The apartment was very well furnished, even a TV with netflix and the beds were comfortable. I really recommend it for families with children.
