Such a pretty little town especially if the weather is good. We went out of season (April) so a lot of places weren't open but we were able to find a choice of restaurants for our evening meal. We were only there for 24 hours so didn't have time to visit the various museums so perhaps a couple of days would have been better. Only downside was the heaps of tourists/tour groups. Szentendre is a picturesque town with a lot of interesting alleys to walk through and find hidden gems, including the walk down to the Danube River and along the path towards the Japanese Garden. I also visited Skansen the Open Air Museum which was an hour’s walk although you can take the bus. Many of the reconstructed buildings have information in English. This city is a hiden gem near to the capital. Worth the visit if you arround the capital. If you traveling with family and kids and not that fancy about the big cities than I would recommend you to consider to have an accommodation in Szentendre and visit BP during the day. Excellent location, parking is right to the house, the backwater of the river Danube is a few meters from the apartment, so it is lovely, peaceful and very central location. Szentendre is adorable little town for sightseeing , shopping in cute little shops, strolling, eating marzipan cakes in Museum of the Marzipan, and enjoying cafes on the Danube back water.
