Szigliget is fabulous.
Szigliget is fabulous. Tranquil, scenic, relaxing.Of course the main draw is the lake, but don’t overlook the surrounding landscape and nature. While you are there check out the Vulcanus restaurant/winery on Antal Hegy. A 5 min drive from the center of town. The best cousin in the most beautiful setting with a view of the lake in one direction and the castle another.The proprietors are incredibly kind, knowledgable and helpful. Spacious apartments, a good-sized lounge, and nice terraces with an amazing view to the lake. The holiday home has everything you might need for a short getaway. There isn't a whole lot to do in Szigliget, but that didn’t bother us at all – we were here to spend a few relaxing days together and enjoy some quality conversations with a glass of wine. The location is excellent and the view from the windows / terrace is second to none, overlooking the Balaton and nearby vineyards. The apartment feels new, is spacious, nicely furnished and modern.
