This is a riverine resort based on the "waters" of the area.
This is a riverine resort based on the "waters" of the area. The "beach" along the river comes alive on weekends & evenings, when bars & cafés offer a variety of ambiences. Avoid major school holidays when families take over and it looks like a European version of Copacabana (with more fabric). One massive modern resort dominates the spa scene, and Germans & Austrians whose insurance pays for an annual "Kur" like to come where their Euro has more buying power. The resort offers what they call a "brunch" that is actually a lunch, with quality nearly matching the price. Plan on buying groceries in one of the larger cities nearby. If you love rivers, walking along rivers, drinking next to rivers, and don't fall into quicksand associated with the river, this is a haven for you.Guest review byProfThomasUnited States

At least one room that I saw will appeal to families with adventurous children: the children's bed area is an alcove reached by a protected ladder. Staff seemed friendly, but my nearly nonexistent Hungarian was matched by their English, and not much communication occurred. A sparse but adequate modified continental breakfast is offered.
