Overlooking vineyards, sunflower fields, tiny villages, this was such a serene experience. The owner, Istvan, showed us around and told us the story of the castle and the neighbourhood. Beds were comfy, rooms spacious, breakfast just enough.

The rooms we stayed in were much larger than we expected. It would be a great place for a small group on a cycling tour. The kitchen had what we needed. You may need to unplug other things to plug in the washing machine, but it works. We could have comfortably stayed much longer.

We loved staying here. The staff's warm hospitality created a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. Room was cosy, bed was comfy. The breakfast and dining options are outstanding, showcasing local flavors and top-notch quality. The surrounding area is a paradise for leisurely walks.     My family owns a winery there and I met my relatives for the first time. They were so kind to spend the afternoon with me and take me on a of tour of the neighboring town of Tolcsva where my great grandparents were born. A half hour ride through the valley ofTolsva stream to Regec castle is a must, it is outstanding!
