The property is just out of Amed and perfect if you want a quiet relaxing holiday - the villas are spacious cool and clean with beautiful views. The gardens are well kept and glorious. Always polite and smiling staff can organise activities, tours, taxis, scooters etc if required- nothing is too much trouble. There are lots of restaurants in Amed but we stayed local eating at the property and next door at Gusto Resto. Communication with management before and during our time there was prompt and polite. Management organised a driver to pick us up from the airport and the Manager himself drove us back - he educated us about Balinese culture along the way. The on site spa has a full list of options and Komang has strong healing hands - we tried many of the options available. Ardi and his fisherman friend took us out for an amazing snorkelling experience - it was like swimming in a tropical fish tank. It’s not often that you feel emotional about leaving a holiday location - but we did - we had such a good time - highly recommended.

Great rooms big , staff sensational , very difficult reading reviews and making your mind up !! But this place had no bad reviews and I can see why I know you can't please everyone I am an accommodation provider this place is heaven trust me just book No people putting towels out and reserving a pool lounge hate that! We know who started that in the 70s I got new fridge they said it had been serviced so expected probs , new tv don't know why this was needed smarter one they said I hand delivered 6 bottles of Arak for their magical service , they have me by the short and curlies can't wait to get back

My stay at Beehive Cottage Amed was absolutely delightful. It's a quaint little wooden cottage surrounded by a huge garden that feels like a private oasis. With only two cottages on the property, it was a peaceful escape from the heat of Amed. The spacious bathtub was a perfect way to unwind, and the shared kitchen and dining/bar top area provided a great space to enjoy meals and chat. The property is very clean, and while I did spot a little cricket or two, it’s all part of being close to nature. The host was incredibly helpful and even assisted me with renting a motorcycle, making it easy to explore the area. I would definitely stay here again—such a serene and relaxing retreat!

We stayed at this hotel several times before the renovation, and I can say that the rooms are now cozier and cleaner. Overall, everything is great: the breakfasts are decent, the beach is clean and private, and there are two good cafes nearby.

    Loved Amed but was only there for 2 nights, would definately go back for longer. Beautiful people and amazing local food. Great spot if you dont want the hussle and bussle of Kuta/Seminyak or Legian. The black beach was gorgeous and the sunsets were amazing, Great place for divers/snorkelling and fishing.

    Amed was lovely, found some great eating places that were really reasonable. Gusto, Galangal, Warranga Amed with live music and fabulous hosts, Sunset view restaurant )the lower key more traditional one) the other Sunset view was too upmarket and commercialised. We loved riding around on the scooters and felt it was quiet enough to feel safe. Really enjoyed getting up into the hills from there to see the rural lifestyles.

    Amed is one of my favourite places I have visited in Bali!

    Amed is one of my favourite places I have visited in Bali! I love that the reefs are right in front of the beach, you don’t need to take a boat or guide, just jump straight in to see so many fish and turtles! I went diving and I wish I stayed longer to explore more. The people are super kind and helpful. It is a little hard to get around though since there are no Grabs. If you can learn, it’s best to rent a bike. But other than that, take your time to explore Amed!

    Amed is nice but if you don’t have a scooter or your own...

    Amed is nice but if you don’t have a scooter or your own transport, expect to pay high prices for transport compared to other parts of Bali. Also people there seem a bit sad and not as friendly and happy as other parts of Bali. The beach is nice and the place is very quiet and not overcrowded, which is great but if you are looking for that lovely Balinese culture and hospitality, you might struggle to find it here.

    I went to Amed to learn Free Diving.

    I went to Amed to learn Free Diving. Its 3 hour from Bali airport by car. a nice small village. Many good restaurants and Massage Places and Yoga Places. No Shopping just enjoy the beach. Can rent a scooter or use taxi to get around Amed. The beach has coral and fishes and turtles. The water is dark blue and the sand is nearly black .

    Perfect place for relax, snorkeling and sunsets with view of Mount Agung. Good start point for visiting Pura Lempuyang, rice fields, Tirta Gangga, Taman Ujang and Virgin Beach. Traffic in area is limited so it is perfect region for scooter driving. Not the best place for shopping and finding souvenirs.

    The location was perfect. It was direct on the beach and it was in the best part of Amed - walking distance to so many great Warungs! The room was brand new too and the beds were so comfortable. We could see the pool and Bali sea from our porch. The pool was clean and perfect for our 3 year old and us to play. At night we sat on the beach watching shooting starts to the sounds of the waves. Perfect. We also met so many nice people from around the world.

    If you're looking for the best quiet place in Bali, go to the Amed and stay here in De Adema. We decided to stay here longer ( I think many guests do it) because we fell in love with these amazing views on volcano and snorkelling with turtles and fish. Delicious breakfast, which you are able to book till 12 o'clock (great choice for a late person). Cleaning is everyday, no need to ask for it. Staff is friendly and helpful 🙂

    Balila Resort is a great to desconnect and enjoy nature. The views from the hotel are just wonderful. I would really recommend everyone to watch the sunrise. The staff and the owner are so nice and welcoming. It’s a pretty private hotel, you can walk to Ames beach and it takes around 40-50 minutes, but also the hostal provide transportation services and other kind of extras like tours, natural healing, yoga, etc

    It was a wonderful place right by the ocean. But the best thing was the incredible warmly welcoming and helpful family running this beautiful home stay. They arranged the best snorkeling trip and a really great trip around Amed and they helped us with all we would and could need. They also served a great breakfast! I will definitely stay at this place again if we come back to Bali!!
