A beautiful peaceful place high up on the volcano above Ubud. We stayed for three nights, explored the local area and climbed Batur in the crater rim. The staff were fantastic, the food was excellent and our garden room was very restful. The owners are really interesting people and it was great to meet them and get some insight into their lives in Bali.

The Fire Flies Garden is truly Paradise! The owners did everything to make us feel comfortable and were always there to help us with anything we needed. The food was delicious, and we could enjoy our meals in a beautiful environment. Whenever we needed transportation or a guide for tours, they organised it for us, and instead of taking us to crowded tourist spots, they showed us special local places. The accommodation was very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and very fresh. The owner himself gave us a tour and showed us the special feature of the place – the fireflies. The photos speak for themselves. We recommend this beautiful garden to everyone visiting Bali. Experience what we did – something we will never forget!

We loved that we were staying by ourselves without be surrounded by other tourist. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of 4 options each morning, juice and fruit.The plunge pool located in the front of the villa was clean and as the temps are a little cooler in north Ubud we actually didn't swim every day but it was lovely to have it there after a walk. We loved that there were lots of seating options from couches, to chairs, to loungers. We were there really to relax and read our books so it was nice to have a variety of options. We didn't turn the air con on, but it was there, we also didn't use the TV but there are plenty of options of things to watch. The owners are lovely and we knew if there was an issue they were only a text away. Please note, if you don't like frogs or huntsman type spiders, or geckos running round on the ceiling overnight this probably isn't the place for you. Nature is noisy at night but the cacophony was wonderful. We stayed for 7 days, which in hindsight was about 2-3 longer than I would do again, only because we didn't have transport and had to order food from Ubek and grab - we thought we could have dinner cooked and pay extra but found out shortly before our holiday we couldn't. There is limited eating places in walking distance so be prepared to order or grab/ubek. There are a couple of restaurants down past the Elephant 'sanctuary' and we thoroughly recommend Samara Ratih. A small improvement I would suggest would be to have an outside drying rack for 'beach' towels, swim suits etc we just used the inside rack. All in all a lovely stay.

The staff was very pleasant, I recommend to everyone this place, the booking pictures are real, it's not a scam. The view from the pool is very luxuriant. Everytime I texted the staff through WhatsApp they were very responsive.

The place is a hidden paradise. Hotel is located in the beautiful nature of Ubud. Room is great with comfortable bed, fridge, hairdryer and spacious wardrobe. Water is refilled everyday( even the one to brush your teeth, great detail) and room Cleaned perfectly everyday What makes it special is the welcoming staff. They are amazing people and they do their best everyday. It was amazing to get from local Balinese people, a woman and a man, a blessed room every morning with perfumed incense. It was so beautiful. Thank you so much !

    From the moment I arrived l felt very welcomed by the owners...

    From the moment I arrived l felt very welcomed by the owners & staff who made me feel like part of the family knowing l was travelling alone. My villa had a private garden & verandah with my own pond with fish & a waterfall. Such a peaceful & beautifully spacious room serviced daily. The organic food & drinks were delicious & the house frozen margarita became a daily treat for me. Prices were so inexpensive so l could indulge. The staff are always smiling & laughing as this boutique resort is a place they love to be also . The views are breathtaking & the peace it brought me filled my heart with such joy. I highly recommend this to any traveller .
