I booked my stay, jungle trek and transfer with The Jungle Guide and it was honestly one of the best experiences of my 4 month trip. The staff were incredibly nice and very good singers. The accommodation was clean and exactly what you want before and after the trek, with a nice balcony and hammock. The trek itself was incredible. Bob is the best guide and helped me safely through the jungle, with much expertise about the wildlife, jungle and local culture. He knew fun facts and of course the amazing viewings of the animals such as Orang-utans, and views. Could have wished for a better guide! The accommodation in the jungle was basic but had all necessities, and a nice stream to cool off, and the food was so good.

This is juste the perfect place ! At the end of the village, so more quiet, front of the gorgeous river. My bungalow was huge and very charming. But most of all Tia welcome you in the best way. She's very kind and gives very good advices, so you can trust her to organise a treck in the forest. I did it and it was a magic moment ( and physical ! ). I love Bukit Lawang, it's a very beautiful place and you can trust me : go to Rambai Tree Jungle lodge you will love it !

I will tell you what to do: 1. Learn English 2. Buy flight tickets 3. Buy some rupees 'Uncle Sam' takes care of everything else (airport transportation, food, drinks, trekking, traveling in the forest... whatever comes to your mind). Opening your window curtains and seeing the Rainforest and the river... I'll be honest, I didn't expect this much. It was an incredible experience for me.

the location is incredible - gorgeous walks and opportunities to spot monkeys, lizards, bright butterflies - overlooking the river and jungle and with a private waterfall on the land. the staff were incredible and went out their way to help us, and were there to answer any question. We came with two year old twins who can be a handful and they made us feel extremely welcome, and helped lug and entertain the boys on the trek into the jungle to see the orangutans (we saw 4!)

We booked our stay with Jhony and went on a 2 days jungle trekking tour with him and Lana. The room at his place is nice, nothing luxury but all you need is there. And the tour itself was just amazing! He's a very good guide, can tell a lot of storys and the food they brought for us on the tour was extraordinary!! Can highly recommend this!!

    Best to train up and be fit for jungle trekking as some...

    Best to train up and be fit for jungle trekking as some climbs can be a bit steep. Also it's very hot and humid. If you wanna take good pictures, don't rely on mobile phones as you'll need to zoom in quite a bit with orang utans perched high up among the trees
