This hotel is on great location. It closed to many restaurants. Aside from that, they also have quite spacious car parking area. Our room was clean and cozy, but the veranda has many fallen leaves (no problem). Great morning view. They have their own private pier for those who left their vehicle at Parapat. Also, when high tide, you will have private pool which connect to Lake Toba. The breakfast is also considered good. And they also give you free basic amenities.

This is one of the nicest places (guesthouses) I have ever stayed on my travels. I had 1 of the 2 rooms downstairs right by the water, get up and from your bed you have a view of the lake and the mountains.  Fantastic owner Nia but also a very good and friendly team behind her give you a very welcome feeling right away. I really can't say anything negative about this accommodation. Please note that this is a guesthouse, not a 5* luxury hotel.  The small beautifully maintained garden and all the plants everywhere contribute to a very nice atmosphere.  Please note that the rooms downstairs are more difficult to reach for people who are not very mobile due to the steep stairs (15 steps). There are rooms higher up but of course they lack the charm of staying close to the water.  The restaurant of this guesthouse (with a very nice view) is also worth it. A few special things on the menu but super tasty; definitely try the immune booster. The best restaurants for dinner for me (Hub Tata restaurant closes at 7PM) are on the other side of Tuktuk (15-20 minutes walk) but you can also rent a scooter at Nia.  I would have liked to stay longer but the room was fully booked so book in advance and keep in mind that the Samosir peninsula is so nice that you will probably want to stay longer than planned.

The apartment is very comfy and has a beautiful view of the mountains. Bed is nice. Sophie was really welcoming and let us check out late with no problem. We left around 12 but she offered us to stay past that.

    Tuk Tuk is mainly where beginner tourists stay, just like me. Tuk Tuk has many restaurants, cafes, hotels, resorts, homestays and guesthouses. Those are located along the main road at Tuk Tuk as well. If you do not want to spend on cafes and restaurants, no worries, there are convenient stores and shops along the main road. Very simple. But I would suggest people go to the restaurant and eat their local cuisines and seafood for the better. The only downside is the main road of Tuk Tuk is very troublesome and tough to walk and cycle as it is very steep going up and down. It is not a road that is stable. I would recommend people take a motorbike, scooter or car to travel along the main road.

    There isn’t much to do but the tranquility of the place is superb. Peaceful with good low temperature between 19 deg C - 22 deg C. A place to unwind and relax. The next time I will look for the hot springs.

    The scene there was beautiful and breath-taking.

    The scene there was beautiful and breath-taking. The whole of Samosir will likely only take you about 3-4 days to finish visiting if you have transport. However, my partner and I were there for 8 days and took our time walking around and relaxing. We do believe we could have shifted accommodations to another part of Samosir though.

    Fantastic Lake Toba - view stay !

    Fantastic Lake Toba - view stay ! very easy access from Parapat. Boats available every hour. Accommodation like Gokhon available directly from the boat. marine activity directly from the accommodation. Lots of places to visit in a island. Both just relaxing and exciting sightseeings in one place.

    Tuktuk is a beautiful and comfortable place for a vacation, its location on the shores of Lake Toba which is not sandy so you can jet sky but not play on the sand on the beach. many inns ranging from home stay to hotel. Currently December 2022, most of the properties are not well maintained, there are boats from Parapat to Tuktuk.

    Was really happy we chose this place as so many on the lake. The room was basic but clean, comfortable bed. The rooms overlook the lake and they have the most beautiful garden. With lots of shaded seating areas and then right in front of the the lake they haves a row of sun beds and parasols–it’s perfect. On the street behind the property is more than enough restaurants and we had the best food whilst here. Tuk Tuk is walkable to explore and the ferry from Parapat also drops you right at the hotel.

    The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfy. Nice view over the lake and the surrounding mountains ( caldera). Wilman, the person at the reception, was really nice and helpful. The location of the guesthouse was in the middle of the village. If you are looking for a place in Tuk Tuk, don't hesitate to stay here! Also scooter rental available

    The location of the hotel and the view from the room are incredible. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We were looked after by Nia who was very friendly and helped us at all times to organise our stay on the island (information, recommendations, motorbike rental...). We'll come back for sure!
