Uluwatu is certainly the tourist destination for fitness and wellness lovers, or those that love the coast. The locals are extremely welcoming, and whilst I don't necessarily recommend it, you can travel most of it on foot compared to the rest of the island. Uluwatu is much more expensive and luxury compared to the rest of Bali. The place is under a massive construction renovation, there are construction site everywhere so it will be very different in a couple of years. Parts were lovely and the cliffs around the temple were amazing but be prepared for lots of traffic (especially scooters) so it takes a while to get anywhere and the public bits are a bit grotty. Couple of amazing places to eat (eg Nourish) and plenty of lovely massage options - we went to Zahra. Loved Uluwatu for all the restaurants & things to do The people & food are amazing. We werent going to hire a scooter but found it more dangerous walking as there were no footpaths & very uneven roads. On a scooter we were able to do alot of exploring around the area which was so much fun. We went to a wedding at The Uluwatu Cottages which was beyond amazing. The setting, food & attention to detail was next level!! Uluwatu is an amazing place! We explored the area by motorbike and taxi, spent our days surfing and relaxing on the beaches, and enjoyed the local restaurants. The people are very friendly, and everything has great quality—it was a truly memorable experience.Guest review byJuan ManuelAustralia - 10

Uluwatu is awesome but very busy now compared to other years. We loved the location of our villa, very central yet so quiet for how busy it is in Padang Padang. Easy to get around. Villa was beautiful we didn't want to leave! Could have done with a tv for quiet night in that's about it. The ladies at the office are lovely but quite pushy with payments when you book things and communication sometimes a bit mixed up. Although we requested massage in the Villa as Ary told us was available. You can see the house is premium and very new. They have a Nesspresoo and capsules for free. Very comfortable beds and pillows (sometimes even in 5 stars hotels pillows are not good) But the most important was the attention received by Ary who helped us so much arranging the restaurant for lunch, she even helped us with the Booking of Kecak Dance in Uluwatu Temple. It's definitely a budget place so be mindful that it's not going to be a 5star hotel. The staff/family were friendly enough and the room was very large / bed was comfy. The mattress had a bedbug protector on it which was an added bonus for me. You got a little table overlooking a really pretty central garden. The room was very clean with a big bed lots of storage.
