What an absolute GEM of a stay. Definitely our top stay in Raja Ampat. The family was so kind and the food delicious. We loved that there was only limit people (one other couple at the stay) even though we did not meet Donald he was a great communicator

JouSuba Homestay is amazing. It is a small island with only homestays on it and so remains relatively untouched for the region. The huts are on a lovely little beach with white sand extending into the sea. They are relatively simple and built with the same indigenous local style as you find in the region. However the mattress is very very comfortable which makes for a great night's sleep. The owner Ferdinand is the local service industry expert and his family own the island and the land. They are making improvements all the time and when I went in Dec24 they had just introduced starlink for amazing internet. Ferdinand was always gracious and kind and extremely helpful when planning trips, excursions and things to do. He has visions for a bright future and is therefore one of the more business savvy owners and extremely responsive to guests needs and wishes. As soon as I booked a room he reached out via WhatsApp which felt very safe and welcoming. Other Honestays can be much more laid back and if you are on a schedule it can make you feel quite anxious. His wife was an amazing cook as she has previously worked in the restaurants of some big hotels. I was fortunate enough that his kids were on holiday and were available to explore and play around with. Such a delightful warm family. Highly recommended

I really enjoyed my 5 days here. I was the only guest, so I had the whole beach (several kilometres long) to myself, which was fantastic. And at night all I could hear was the soothing sound of the ocean waves. The beach is just a few seconds away from the bungalow. Because it is by the sea, the waves are quite big and the breeze is a blessing in this otherwise quite hot place. And because the beach faces west, I saw the best sunsets in Raja Amapat. As for the accommodation, it is basic, but I had everything I needed. The food was delicious. The family helped me with everything. The father took me wherever I wanted to go and even gave me some tips, which turned out to be the best snorkelling I had in the area (Napoleon Reef and Fam Wall). He even climbed a palm tree to get me a fresh coconut. So I am really happy about everything and I recommend you to visit Or Mandira too.

I absolutely loved this homestay! it was beautiful and comfortable and fantastic. Lucky and his family are very kind and generous. their attention to every detail really makes them stand out from all the other homestays. also the food is absolutely incredible!! cant wait to come back soon! 10 star reccomendation for sure! the snorkeling around the island is amazing too, and they organize really great daytrips at very reasonable prices.

Staying at Beser Bay in Raja Ampat was an exceptional experience. The location offers tranquility and seclusion, ideal for relaxation. The house reef boasts diverse marine life, including walking sharks, blacktip sharks, clownfish, stingrays, and various fish species, providing constant underwater entertainment. Day trips for snorkeling, especially encounters with mantas, were a highlight. These excursions allowed for a closer exploration of Raja Ampat's marine ecosystem. My stay at Senjas was a wonderful, authentic and real experience with a local family. It was real because I was the only guest and experiences and incredible time with them. It is a very new homestay, so everything was very clean, new bathroom with a sitting toilet (not usual in Raja Ampat), an own beach, beautiful sunsets on your veranda. The food was incredible delicious, I liked their spices, also important to mention it was an all-inclusive stay with a lot of food for myself (on booking it said only breakfast). You have access to the nearby village and can walk to it. The family was helpful and did day trips with me for snorkelling adventure. If you are into socializing with other travellers, it might not be ideal because I was there alone but there were 2 bungalows.
