Very friendly people. We had a nice stay at the Silken Thomas. The rooms were spaceous. We had 2 rooms on the top floor in the Postmasters House. We were travelling with 3 kids and therefore we had 2 rooms. The beds were good, and the rooms were very clean. The kids were very fond of the bunk bed.

The accommodation was fabulous! The facilities were brilliant and the host was very welcoming and helpful. The location was great only a 10 minute walk to the town and shopping facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely booking again.

5 Stars for A Peaceful Gem with the Kindest Hosts What a lovely stay! The location is perfect, tucked away in the peaceful Kildare countryside, yet just minutes from the outlet village and town centre. The space itself was bright, spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious, and wonderfully quiet. Emer, our host, couldn’t have been more helpful, genuinely kind and thoughtful from the moment we arrived. She kindly arranged for some provisions before our arrival (which we reimbursed on check-in), and even offered secure lockup for our E-bikes. Little touches like complimentary fresh eggs from their own chickens made it feel extra special. We loved waking up to views of cows and chickens in the adjacent fields, and being so close to the National Stud and Japanese Gardens was a bonus. We spent our first day shopping at the outlet and did our returns the next (so handy being so close)! A peaceful, comfortable, and well-cared-for spot—we’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much to Emer and family!

    a great location for horse lovers as it is very close to the Curragh Racecourse and a 15 minute drive to the National Stud. Garden lovers would also like the Japenese Gardens at the National Stud plus the surroundings. Good shopping in Kildare village which is by the National Stud. Good friendly cosy pub with music a 2 minute walk from the accommodation, and good eating variety in closeby Kildare and Newbridge.
