We particularly liked the dining room and the view. We own the Fastnet Hotel in Schull in West Cork (Instagram thefastnet1) and we are very honoured to having been ranked number one in Ireland by the Irish Examiners Travel editor’s choice: Tom Breathnach's top 10 stays of 2023. it was very easy to live in, all the beds we’re comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, there were fresh farm eggs in the fridge for us, the house was clean. it was very peaceful and a close walk to the ferry to go to the Aran Islands.

Fantastic location, nice staff, great Atmosphäre. The breakfast was very nice a la carte and served to the table. The dinner was superb a well selected choice from what you can get local. Especially the fish and the oysters are great you could smell the atlantic. Rooms very clean and very nice.

I spent three incredible days at Corrib Lodge with my wife, and as a fishing enthusiast, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The Lodge is located right on the lake, with private access, and the views are absolutely stunning , but what really makes the difference is the fishing. This place is run by an Italian owner who’s not only a great chef but also a passionate and knowledgeable guide. Every day we went out on the lake with him, fully equipped with top-notch gear, exploring hidden spots, landing great catches, and hearing fascinating stories about the lake’s history. We even stopped on remote islands and visited old castles along the way. They also organize deep-sea fishing trips for those who want to explore the ocean, a great option I’ll definitely try next time. The whole team is friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is relaxed but well-run. If you love fishing and want something truly special, Corrib Lodge is the place. I’ll be back for sure.
