A town not too far from Dublin airport and within easy distance to Co Tyrone ,Northern Ireland.The locals very very friendly and the local pubs were traditional , well at least the ones I went into. YES the Guinness does taste different to the British variety .Ireland in common with most places these days is not a cheap place ,indeed the price of property is on par with England as opposed to a few years when it was dirt cheap. The staff were exceptionally helpful, with advice (local taxi's who were very reliable & fair priced) Wilst preparing for an event a 'sticky' garment cleaner was required; again reception were able to help. I thought it was a busy bright town with v friendly people . More detailed tourist info would help & be more widely available eg the Harry Clark windows in St Joseph’s Church .
