Drogheda is much bigger than I expected.
Drogheda is much bigger than I expected. It’s very spread out and was quite congested with traffic when I was there so maybe a little difficult for driving if unfamiliar with the area. It is a very old town with lots of history and old buildings and has short distances to nearby beauty spots. Booking & check in were easy & efficient. The room & breakfast were excellent, Hotel nicely situated & grounds very pleasant. Also a 5 min drive to Laytown which has a great beach. The staff are very friendly, hardworking and helpful. The restaurant had a good choice of food on the menu which cooked well, tasty and well presented. Our room was clean and comfortable with tea making facilities.
