None of us had been here before.
None of us had been here before. We did the river tour to Clonmacnoise with Hidden Heartland tours, and despite the awful weather when we were there, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We have family in Roscommon so we’ve been there a few time, it’s a lovely little town with such friendly people. Everything you would need is all within walking distance it’s a great place to go for a short break, we stayed at the Abbey hotel so there was no need to use the car to go into town. Roscommon has more to show then what meets the eye, I particularly enjoyed my brief visit to the castle. On my return I intend to make use of the professional staff. Room was very comfortable, and quiet. You could arrange the window so that you stayed cool at night. Breakfast doesn't come with the room, but there are nearby places such as Gleesons which do breakfast from 0800 each morning. The window sill in the room, where you could sit and watch the sun rise, was wonderful. He than drove us and another Guest to Roscommon Racecourse. The following day he drove us into town which was greatly appreciated.
