First time i ever travelled solo, and stayed in The Tower hotel. It was such a lovely experience that it will have a special place in my heart ❤️. The location was perfect to see all the sites within walking distance. The Bishops Palace, The Wake Museum, Waterford Crystal, The Theatre and the shops. Everets restaurant for fine dining. What an unexpected surprise.
What an unexpected surprise. Waterford packed a punch in terms of a lovely get away. Our favourite spots were around The Viking Triangle within the city and then Dunmore East for the sea, Mount Congreve- a gardener's delight, and Dungarvan, which is a charming harbour town. In terms of eating, I would highly recommend Mount Congreve for lunch and Bodega in Waterford City for dinner. We also checked out The Garden Mount Wolsley where you can delight in different plants and flowers from all over the world and have a fabulous lunch in their cafe. All in all, we were so impressed with Waterford. I would highly recommend staying in Granvilles Hotel too on Meagher Quay. There is so much to do and see in Waterford such as the...
There is so much to do and see in Waterford such as the coaster resorts of Dunmore and Tramore. The Copper coast is fascinating and easily reachable. The historical centre of the city is well worth a visit and various guided tours are available online and on site. Plenty of golf and fishing if thats your thing. The hotel was excellent. The staff were professional. Some of the wait staff seemed to be impatient and stressed. Not that friendly. Bar staff were very good, informative and friendly. We enjoyed a most interesting and entertaining walk around the main historical sights with Jack (2 walks daily) Other walks along the river waterfront - will be even more attractive when contruction work is completed - hopefully soon. A good range of shops around the busy and vibrant shopping and cultural area. An excellent and extensive Greenway for cyclists and walkers along the former railway coastal route. I've stayed in many bad hotels during the past decade. Really bad hotels, in some instances But i wanted this night to be special for my wife but it ruined everything of the plans i had made for her.
