It's located bang on national highway, good ambiance with tasty food and smily manager. Clean and spacious Chalet, sufficient parking space, green plants coating apple arcades. Would love to stay here again.

What can I say, we arrived at Dakpa House and simply found the place amazing. We had arranged to check in a little earlier than normal due to connecting flights and could not believe the property was every bit as good as the photos. The owner and his team personnally greeted us on our arrival and guided us as to how best to adjust to the altitude (Ladakh is at a height of approx 3500m we you are breathing 30% less oxgyen than at sea level). We then settled into our room and the view, breathtaking. Each morning we awoke to a view of snow capped mountains and all we had to do was raise our heads from the pillows. Our room was very spacious and would put a number of 5 star hotels to shame. Then the food, every meal was a small banquet with the even meals consisting of no less than 5 seperate dishes and then desert, all freshly prepared with produce they grow themselves. Anything we could think of the chief was more than happy to prepare. We had planned a day trip to Pangong Lake on day 3 and the team even prepared a basket of food and drinks for us to take with us so we could ebjoy the view even futher. After several discussions with the owner, we discovered he is also an experienced rock and ice climber who regularily takes groups climbing. With views of where we could have treked if we had know we would have tried to organise a longer stay in Ladakh and organised a short trek ourselves. We cannot praise highly enough the property, staff and owner for our stay in Dakpa House. It is definately on our list to re-visit in the future.

If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil setting, away from the busy Leh town, this is the right place. It is also a great stargaze spot providing clear skies. The host, Arif is very welcoming and very great knowledgeable about his hometown. He is very genuinely nice and always kindly assisting the guests in all enquiries which needed regarding Leh. They have everything you need. From hot water for shower, karaoke, greenery view, the place is well decorated. I truly enjoyed the stay and hospitality. Exceptional! Thank you for the stay

Salim, Jamila and Nasid are amazing people! We had so much fun throughout my few days there at Amir honestay. I was also introduced to their wonderful friends and family. We also experienced living on this beautiful farm with happy animals, which still seems like a dream! Please don't think, just book. Come to experience real Ladakhi life, enjoy and learn.

So many things to love about the place 1) The Fantastic manager they have on board- Mr.Stanzin.Such a gem of a person!! He gives you the best itineraries, excellent food recommendations and gives you details of places otherwise unheard of.Id recommend staying here first and then covering other parts of Leh Ladakh simply bcos of his itinerary. 2) the property by itself is lovely.We would have loved to see more green but Mother nature (not the owners fault) had other plans 3) Attentive and friendly staff.No matter how much you trouble them , they're happy to help. 4) They have a decent restaurant that will cater to all your immediate hunger pangs as it is a little away from the main market area We spent 4 days in peace and quiet ,amidst great views and we would love to come back
