We had a fantastic stay at Jungle Hut. We loved the place, we had the feeling to be far from the World with a fantastic view on the mountains, the deers coming early in the misty morning in the garden. We did the 2 morning walks proposed by the hotel and both was really great. Highly recommended. Massages are nice also. I wish we will come back again. My best time in India! I am deeply grateful for Kumar and his staff for hosting me. I came to India for a wedding and wanted to see some wildlife in Masinagudi. Staying with Kumar was the perfect climax of my trip. I don’t know what was best: The food? The warm-hearted hospitality? The nice and clean rooms? The great safaris with Kumar‘s friend Daniel? Everything was just great! Since I work in the luxury hospitality, I know how to appreciate a lovely hotel and genuine hospitality. Stay here and get convinced yourself. @Kumar: Thank you very very much and I cannot wait to host you in Austria and also see you again here. See you soon! Ps:. Everything was juste perfect ! The staff was really helpful and friendly. Thanks to the hotel manager, we met Radhakrishnan : amazing guide if you plan to do a safari :) The food was delicious ! The room was really clean and the house keeping supervisor was really kind (laundry service top).

    The property is near Masinagudi but if you are not used to travelling often, you might feel a bit uneasy as it is in the middle of no-where. But again, we don't want civilization to creep in nature. It is near Ooty but still a well kept secret.

    The route is very scenic, you'll get to see several wild animals on the route. There are good restaurants in the city. The climate is also very good, but try not to roam around at night as elephants might be there. Also, due to less pollution you can see stars clearly at night.

    Great location for people wanting to experience stay in...

    Great location for people wanting to experience stay in forest reserve. However a little out of way. Food choices in the hotel were limited but adequate and well cooked. Hot water was a plus. Masinadudi is not a place for much sightseeing other than the hit or miss safaris. Also no city center to hang out. So hotel or safari are only choices. Overall a unique and different experience from standard hotels. I do have to commend the staff for their helpfulness and curtesy.

    Peaceful village adjacent to the forest- full of scenic locations and serenity. Mudumalai and Bandipur are very nearby so that you can plan your jungle safaris Ooty is also not so far and the route to ooty is filled with scenic spots.
