I would avoid the Salt and Rove Hotel (aka Hotel Elevate by Corporate Suite) - there are hundreds of alternative clean, presentable and welcoming hotels in Delhi! I will be coming back to Delhi to spend more time exploring; my most favorite place this time was the Lotus Temple. Absolutely amazing!! !50% recommend a visit - especially if you are of a spiritual, meditative nature. Beautiful!! We loved New Delhi, despite the notorious pollution. The historic buildings (mosque, Red Fort, temples, tombs) were fascinating and we didn't have time to visit the museums, which would have been a great addition to our stay. The markets were an experience, but best avoided on a Sunday afternoon as everyone is preparing for a festival: I have never experienced pressing crowds like it! Delhi is a lively mix of old and new—historic forts, colourful markets, tasty street food (explore & try with caution), and buzzing city life. A bit chaotic at times, but full of energy and culture that makes it unforgettable! What’s not to like from the magnificent buildings, heritage to fabulous shopping. The food is wonderful with every cuisine you could imagine. A truly Golobal City. Shopping in Connaught place is an experience. Please check which Bloch the shop you wish to visit is. Lodi Gardens are an absolute MUST and try some of the food vendors around and in the gardens. I love Delhi - Old Delhi has even more fabulous food and shops. The oldest Itar ( perfume) shop in India for example.
