1. Great eco-conscious resort with a natural vibe and local Ladakhi flair. Solar powered. The rooms were tasteful with a minimalist natural ambience and modern facilities. It offers stunning views pf the mountains. 2. Warm, Helpful staff. We had to change our travel plans due to bad weather and they were very informative. Thanks to the chefs Chet and Krishna, manager Shabir and Stenzin. They speak good English in case langauge is a concern. 3. Delicious farm-fresh food that included Indain, Western and local Ladakhi flair and had vegetarian and non-vegetarian options alike. They serve complimentary Ladakhi tea everyday in a charming tea lounge. 4. Good selection of excursions and activities. They offer guided village walks, and the hotel is close to Sumur monastery and camel rides.

Tsering la is such a kind, caring host. She was happy to sit and chat or give us our space. The meals were local Ladakhi food and everything was excellent. The room was even more spacious and comfortable than we had expected -- plenty of hot water, comfortable clean bed, and big sunny windows. Sumoor is just what we wanted in a village -- quiet, beautiful, and full of people just as lovely as Tsering la.

The whole experience was excellent. Gentle Madam Padma Wangmo and her staff took care of me like one of their family members. R Every part of the house was designed with nature by the talented artist, her husband. It was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The whole experience was elevated by the honest Ladakh fresh cuisine, where all the food came from their garden. I would highly recommend it to all my family and friends, as I look forward to returning.

    The best thing to do in nubra valley to drive along the...

    The best thing to do in nubra valley to drive along the shyok basin on hunder and panamik side. Do the camel rides and the ATV.. and try the zip line. Stay in a good place. However, dikshit gompa, panamik hot springs and turtuk are a waste of time so don't go there or plan for these.
