A wonderful place to chill! The rooms look well cared for and neat. Sanitary facilities are clean and a lovely bed with a good mattress. Vajjeesh is a great host and enjoys making others happy with his service. The food is freshly prepared with attention and love by the family, which tastes delicious and also looks beautiful. This hostel is a little paradise far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in India. I stayed there much longer than planned because it was so wonderful. It was a great place to unwind and meet interesting people. There was also great food, the opportunity to jump into the water and go for a walk.

A gem of a homestay and a gem of a host. From the moment we came to the property, it felt like a little slice of paradise tucked away right next to the water, abs beautiful home away from home! Location is spot on and the owner Suresh was also nice enough to give us his two bicycles for us to explore the island freely. Plenty of space inside and out, all well maintained. Great, homely area outside on the veranda to chill and have food/tea/coffee, which the family is always more than happy to prepare. Suresh will work hard every day to ensure we had everything we needed, including canoe ride, booking transport and also a ride on his very own motorbike around the island's more tucked away corners. We def recommend this homestay to anyone coming to Munroe Island and we hope to return again.

Green Chromide is just amazing!! The location on the river side, the wooden chalet, the food are excellent. Sunaina and her family are so genuine, authentic and welcoming. They have made my stay very memorable. Munroe Island and Green Chromide have touched me deeply. Sunaina arranges everything you want to do in a blink and also understands visitors coming from a different culture. Everybody knows each other, so you will be taken care of with a big smile. Don’t hesitate, just go!
