We liked everything, starting from very kind and nice owners who welcome us. The facilities was very nice, comfortable, clean. You can find there everything what you need, and even more. The location is very good, as the town is not big.

A peaceful cabin in the middle of a "wood", the host decorated with detail and so passionate that I can feel it. You have everything that you need. Certainly if I comeback to Iceland I will book this cabin. Only one caveat, make sure when you come still have daylight to find the cabin.

Stunning view, great location. The cabin is perfect with everything you need. Kitchen is well equipped, has its own bathroom with shower and a porch with that super cute doggy. We wished we stayed longer.

We had a wonderful time during our trip. The hotel was very welcoming from the beginning and for me how they handled pur issue with 6 people and 4 bef was very quick and kind. We loved the place and got a good night sleep everynight. Hotel was livated in very nice area and the breakfast was amaizingly good! We enjoyed very much. Thank you!

Staff at reception were professional and friendly, made us welcome to the hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. We had the use of a fridge and coffee machine. Also use of slippers and robes. The breakfast was a very generous spread of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, cold plate of ham, cheese and tomatoes. Also included was the option to make your own pancakes! And finish with a selection of some yummy donuts from the in-house bakery. To drink there was juices and lovely cold water, coffee, tea. Really enjoyed our stay here. Value for money in a great location at the harbour. We safely walked into and from Reykjavik centre in the evenings. For tours, bus stop 4 is literally across the road.

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, Laxarbakki offers apartments with free WiFi access and a furnished terrace with views of River Laxá. Akranes town centre is 12 km away.

It is considered the best place to observe the aurora. I booked for 2 days and stayed for only one day as the road was controlled, but it was worth the cost. This is because we were able to see the aurora for the first time here, which we had not seen for six days.
