The hut was unexpected warm that creating a comfortable sleeping place in glacier lagoon. An wonderful experience we wake up by the sun rising reflected by glacier.

AustriaThe area around the guesthouse was very quiet with a great view. At night we even saw a glimpse of the northern lights. The room was spacious, we our own sink and a beautiful mountain view. The shared areas were clean and well equipped. There was even fridge and a Coffee Corner. The shared bathroom was big, modern and clean. All in all a great stay.

Hof seemed to be a small city, perfectly located if you are renting a car to see the area, we came from Vik, and we drove all over the Jökulsárlón and returned on the evening to the hotel. as every village in Iceland, you need to pay attention to the exit, but google map was able to find it and we didn't have any problems. We booked the 2 double room, assuming we needed to share the bathroom, little did we know that the two rooms are part of a cottage and it was like a big 2 bedroom house rather than 2 double room. Breakfast was amazing, and I suppose in aurora season, you can look up and see the northern like, but even if there is no season, waking up to the nature was mind blowing. it was perfect for us, 4 friends who did the ring road in 9 days!Guest review byLauraUnited Kingdom

Bigger room has private bathroom, while others need to use the shared bathroom, they are clean and tidy though. Breakfast is good and plenty, as this is one of the only choice if you are hiking vatnajökull glacier (less than 5minutes drive away from the meetup point), do eat up as you will need the energy, and this place provides plenty of food during breakfast. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room was nice but no milk, only creamer in a packet (does seem to be the standard in Iceland). Beautiful location, with lovely view from our window to the mountains. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast had a good variety of options. I think you have to understand you're booking a Guesthouse not a hotel. The hostess was lovely and welcoming, the rooms were very clean, the bathroom was newly renovated and clean.
