Everything was super new, it seems that this place has just started operating very recently. All the furniture including the kitchen tools are very new which is a plus. The view from the big window of the glacier was also one of the highlights. I would rate this place as one of the best accommodations we've booked on our ring road trip.

This was our best experience with staying in Iceland, we definitely would like to come back again. Everything was really amazing - hosts were very welcoming and friendly, the room was so lovely prepared, kitchen was good equipped, everything was clean and nice, breakfast was great! We felt like being in some friends or relatives house, not just in a guesthouse. We really enjoyed our stay in Holmur and highly recommend it to others.

The room was comfortable and the bathroom very clean. The staff was extremely helpful with dining suggestions. We awoke to a flat tire on our rental and the owner and one of employees happily changed it!

“The accommodation is beautifully located with a breathtaking view of the glacier. The beds were very comfortable, everything was impeccably clean, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Despite our very late arrival, we were received with great hospitality. Bed was comfortable and view from windows was fantastic. It was very peaciful. A boy(with long hair) on reception was very polite and he gave us good informstion. Also,he help us with suitcase.

We had an incredible stay at the Country Hotel. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. We were really looking forward to eating dinner at their on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was already closed for the season. Nevertheless, it was only a few minutes into Hofn where there were some great restaurants (our favorite was Pakkhus). The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and you can see multiple glaciers from the breakfast room!

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, this family-run farm hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Hoffell Hot Springs are 25 km away.

Beautiful view, not too far from glacier lagoon for zodiak tour (highly recommend). Fabulous breakfast! Comfortable beds! Felt cosy inside. Great coffee machine
