I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Castle, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked through the door, the service was impeccable. The staff was not only friendly but genuinely eager to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with modern touches that made it feel like a true retreat. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time. The amenities were top-notch, and I appreciated the attention to detail — everything from the high-quality toiletries to the luxurious linens. Breakfast was amazing, offering a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious. The location of the hotel is ideal, with easy access to key attractions and shops. It’s perfect for both leisure and business travelers. I can’t say enough about the level of service at the Castle. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all my requests, and they made me feel right at home. The attention to detail, comfort, and overall experience made my stay truly unforgettable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to staying here again in the future!

Best facilities we have had all across our 9 bookings in Iceland. Washing machine, kitted out kitchen, all in the little house, just wow.

Fantastic lodge with an unbelievable view and flair. All amenities are provided. Hosts are super responsive and ready to come by to solve any issue you might have. Heating and air conditioner available to heat or cool down.

The owner gave us an exceptional service. We arrived late at night in the winter, and he was kind enough not only to prepare delicious meals at that time, but also to share stories about Iceland, with special focus on the Westfjords. I stayed for over 10 days in Iceland, and it was the most informative, deep and interesting conversation I had with a local about his country (we covered history, geography, politics, socioeconomics, among many others). There was also a gorgeous library and beautiful maps that showed detailed information not available in Google Maps. I will definitely go back to this place next time I am in the Westfjords.

This is a small and basic cabin BUT so charming, very authentic and what a gorgeous location. Plus host went out of her way to communicate and make sure we made it ok and were comfortable.

Extremely peaceful place, the decoration is great, the whole experience of being able to see all around you while being in your bed or in the hut tub is incredible.

Beautifully decorated main areas and rooms were nice and cozy. Showers were hot! Breakfast had a very good selection to choose from. Also lots of spots to hike in the area. It was our honeymoon and we felt very happy with this stay!

Gudrun is a fantastic host and displays great customer care in all she does. The waffles for breakfast are addictive, so watch out! I highly recommend this place!!
