The harbour wa pretty and a nice beach, we went on the whale watching trip and saw Orcas which was amazing !!! Small, quiet Icelandic town but with enough facilities to support a vacation stay. Plan to get all your supplies by 18:00 as stores close then. Location is central to all sites on the peninsula. Bikers paradise is far more beyond our expectations. it is close to church mountain and national park, sea views and mountain views with some waterfalls. The whole family of the host is one of the kindest people we have ever meet. They are very happy to help whenever their guests need. A lot of things to see around the peninsula - make the circular drive around the tip. Visit Laugarbrekka, Malarrif Ligjthouse, Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge, and the Gatklettur. Ólafsvík is the larger of settlements around Snaefellsjokull national park. There are plenty of things to see on this end of West Iceland, so 2-3 days is a good length of stay here.
