The staff were so friendly and welcoming, every one of them from reception, to the bar staff, breakfast staff and the cleaning staff all went that extra mile to make our stay wonderful. The hotel is very warm and cosy and provided free coffee and cakes at reception throughout the day. It was -13 when we were there and Iceland was covered with snow.. The room was cosy open plan and had a kitchen island so we had fresh wster and coffee making facilities. At the back of Kvosin Downtown Hotel we got the best photographs of the Northern Lights. It is very central, everything was in walking distance fron the Ice bar, the Rainbow street, restaurants cafes and shops, most tour bus stop were within 2 minutes from the hotel.

Nice suits on the 20th floor with a fantastic view of the ocean. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Breakfast in the room was delicious and too much for us :) A self-service bar with a free coffee/tee is an excellent complimentary. We enjoyed our stay here.

An amazing hotel for our last night in iceland. This is exactly what you need after exploring the island. We had spa access which I 💯 recommend. Absolutely beautiful hotel. The only down side is that parking isn’t free (p2) you have to pay till 9pm and stet paying again at 10am. It didn’t cost us a lot of money because we only stayed one night and left early for our flight so we skipped breakfast. There was construction work next to us - I didn’t hear anything. We walked to town and left the car in the parking space since it’s cheaper than p1

The street shops are colorful and the city provides good vibes with many artistic architectures, sculptures and murals. The biggest shortcoming is the lack of working public WCs. We went to two locations shown on google map, the facilities were all closed and not working.

Iceland is expensive, but Reykjavik is a great base location...

Iceland is expensive, but Reykjavik is a great base location to explore the Golden Circle and the South Coast. The city is very walk-able and, if you choose your hotel correctly, very convenient for various tour and City buses. We spent two days touring and had time to visit the Reykjavik "sights" in 2 evenings and a couple hours the final day. A car is not necessary in the city and it looks like parking would be tight (and probably expensive).

We spent 10 hours doing the circle which was amazing!

We spent 10 hours doing the circle which was amazing! But we only stayed 1 day and by evening we were too tired to enjoy the city Best: walking through tectonic plates! Lunch at tomato farm! Geysers! Blue Lagoon! Waterfalls! A wonderful day! We had a private driver so we did what we wanted as long as we wanted. Great! Our driver even took us to a dairy where we had fresh, delicious ice cream and we stopped to feed some local horses

We loved the walkability to so many attractions.

We loved the walkability to so many attractions. If you weren't physically fit - a trip to Iceland would change that for sure! What a beautiful city. Clean and environmental friendly. Even the public water closets/toilets were clean and well maintained! We loved all the attractions and history Iceland has to offer. And as they boast - the water from the faucet is ice cold, clean and clear! The only down side to the city would be for those who need wheelchair access, rollator paths or aren't physically fit. There aren't many areas that can accommodate those needs. Even at the airport, it isn't very accessible.

Friendly city with lots to do and see.

Friendly city with lots to do and see. Nice murals on a lot of buildings and interesting art work in various places. Eating out can be expensive but there are smaller, cheaper street food vans around and Bonus supermarket to make up your own meals.

Probably one of the best places I have ever been too.

Probably one of the best places I have ever been too. Reykjavik itself is a great place to vist. Compact enough to walk around with a great atmosphere. Plenty of food choices and lots to see and do. Do the 'free walking tour' for great information and to visit parts of the city you may not normally get to. Outside of Reykjarvik the countryside is just stunning. You must do the Golden Circle including Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, Gullfoss and if you hire a car also go to Kerid Crater. Also the Blue Lagoon is a must. Despite being there for 4 full days we did not do everything and will come back.

Great place to stay in the heart of Reykjavik city centre. The apartment was spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is located on paid parking zone, but there were plenty of space to park your car, even in the high tourist season. A little tip for parking - park in zone P3 it is on 70-100m from the apartment, it is a way cheaper than P1. In the apartment there is everything you need for you stay. Even in the city centre it was quiet and you can rest after long day of exploring and hiking in Icelandic nature.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and to me, it's the best hotel in Reykjavik. Every time I visit the city, I try to stay here. This time we were upgraded to a bigger room with views to Mt. Esja. The beds are still the thing I rave the most about when I talk about this hotel with friends. Our friends who came with us to Reykjavik all stayed here and everyone loved it. Highly recommend.

One of the nicest hotels we've ever visited! Fantastic city centre location, room was beautiful, breakfast was great and all staff on reception were extremely helpful. They allowed us to check in early after having driven for three hours through a blizzard to reach Reykjavik and also helped organise our bus transfer to Keflavik Airport.

Lovely choice of common sitting areas. Great buffet breakfast - loads of variety and choice. Great location just a short stroll to city centre and shops. Next to the old working marina. Plenty of places to eat nearby but be aware if Icelandic prices - great quality food but not cheap - not the hotel’s fault in any way.
