Which places did you like the most there?
Which places did you like the most there? I absolutely loved walking around the city center especially the area near Hallgrímskirkja Church and the colorful streets around Laugavegur. The view from the church tower is stunning, and the small boutiques and cafés nearby give Reykjavík such a cozy vibe. I also really enjoyed the harbor area with its modern buildings and peaceful atmosphere. Where did you eat? I tried a few local places, but the best meal I had was the traditional Icelandic soup honestly, the best in town! I also recommend trying Skyr and freshly prepared fish, they taste completely different than anywhere else. And of course, don’t miss a glass of local Icelandic beer, it’s surprisingly good :)! Is getting around Reykjavík easy? Yes, it’s very easy. The public transport works well, especially if you download the KLAPPID app. Most of the main attractions are within walking distance, and buses are reliable and clean. What interesting activities would you recommend to other solo travelers? Reykjavík is perfect for solo travel it’s safe, calm, and full of friendly people. I’d recommend visiting one of the thermal pools, Sky lagoon exploring local art galleries, the Perlan museum or taking a walk along the seaside promenade. And if you have time, take a day trip to see the Golden Circle, it’s breathtaking. I’ll definitely come back one day. 🇮🇸✨Guest review byEvaSlovakia - 10

Reykjavík is a beautiful capital city of Iceland. It has beautiful lake, ports, promenade, amazing high street, numerous restaurants and beautiful parks to walk. Lot of tours start from Reykjavík so it is an ideal place for people want to explore Iceland by day tours. I just adored this city.
I just adored this city. Iceland has such a gorgeous mix of city, spa and nature. We stayed for four nights and managed to squeeze in two full city days, soaking up the calm, cosy vibes of Reykjavík and the DELICIOUS food. On day 3, we hit the Sky Lagoon (a must-see/do!), had a chilled afternoon and then went out for dinner at Sumac (highly recommend) and the Magic Ice Bar. On Day 4, we did a full day Golden Circle tour Classic Day trip excursion with Reykjavik Excursions (booked via TripAdvisor). This was possibly the highlight of the trip as we not only saw all the key nature spots: Thingvellir National Park, the Great Geysir and the Gullfoss waterfall, but our tour guide (Darren) and driver (Ibra) were superb! Don’t have enough superlatives for how brilliant the tour was. We ended our trip with a Northern Lights tour by Arctic Adventures. We managed to see them after poor conditions meant the tour had been cancelled all four nights prior. It was an unbelievable experience and our tour guide made such a stellar effort, taking us to three locations to make sure we saw as much as possible. We visited Iceland for 5 days and spend 4 nights in Reykjavik, We spent only 1 day sight seeing in the city. The remaining days we spent exploring the south east part of the island and the Golden Circle. If you just want the see the city 1 day is more than enough to leisurely see the entire city. Iceland is an expensive place to eat and drink. We had breakfast included in our room rate each day so saved quite a few dollars. We had a rental car, the hotel had no parking. We soon worked out where to park the car near the hotel overnight for free. Parking is strictly enforced in Iceland. We used supermarkets to buy or make our lunches and dinners where we spent out in restaurants (not cheap). The cheapest place to eat is Ikea - you need a car to get there unless public transport by bus can be worked out. Snorkelling between the tectonic plates was the best. Hot pools in Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths was excellent and not expensive (take a towel from the hotel). Blue Lagoon is over rated and too expensive.Guest review byMark from NZNew Zealand

The apartment had all the facilities and supplies if you wanted to cook or prepare meals.
