This is an amazing place to hike and see some glorious views - especially on a clear day - which can be a bit tricky. We were extremely fortunate to have some of the the sunniest days recorded. Could not ask for a more comfortable hike. There are glacier hikes that you can pay for but honestly parking at the Park and hiking up yourself is something you will not soon forget. Not too laborious, but you defintely feel like you are exercising. Loved every minute of this hike and I wish I could have stayed longer.Guest review bymaryUnited States

The hotel restaurant was excellent with gourmet cuisine. Other excellent feature was that you can ask to be called on the room phone if there are any Northern Lights! Unfortunately there weren't any while we were there but it was nice to know we wouldn't miss them if there were. Also, small hike from the hotel to a small glacier nearby really recommended. The room was a good size and when we mentioned the comfort of the beds (they were a bit worn), the staff made an extra effort to replace the mattresses quickly! After that was done, we were so grateful. Being able to walk out the back door and hike to the Svinafellsjokull (glacier), have a short drive to Diamond Beach and the glacier lagoon, and get to the Skaftafel Nature Reserve/Park in minutes was key!Guest review byCindyUnited States

Breakfast is right on time so we can go out for the ice cave adventure early in the morning. The room is standard for an international hotel, good fit for 3 people in one room.
