The AC promenade has stunning scenery and south of AC is home to many lidos i.e., beach resorts. AC is close to Catania City Center, Mt. Etna and Taormina, three must-see attractions. Very beautiful quiet place! The sea is clean and beautiful. Nearby is the volcano Etna. In the town there are many cafes and restaurants on the embankment. I recommend renting a canoe and a catamaran, go on an excursion to the volcano. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, it is clean and cozy. We were there for 3 days in mid-February.
We were there for 3 days in mid-February. And these were wonderful sunny days in a good place. What struck us most was the fresh fruit every day that grew on the trees - tangerines, oranges, lemons. And these are the most delicious fruits we have ever tasted. Very friendly hosts. The only thing we were not used to was that it was warmer outside than in the house. Locals were rude and often very Arrogant and attempted to overcharge far too many times. They hope you won’t challenge them about it. My advice is , Ask how much before paying and Check your receipts and bills . The town is scruffy and dirty. The vast amounts of discarded Rubbish on the streets is difficult to ignore. Well looked after by Frederico and his mum. He will gladly help with any information about the area, things to do, and will book them for you. Good breakfast, mainly bread and pastries, but Frederico will provide eggs, cereals and yoghurts on request . Lovely pool area and garden, but as we went early in the season the pool was not full.
