This region is super! It was our first time to visit so we were in awe of the views and the many options for recreation. We were there in July - considered off-season, so we had expected more stores and restaurants to be open that were not. Peaceful and beautiful with an abundance of snowy hikes, cross country and alpine skiing from the front door. The hotel is modern traditional, not too fancy and showy but a perfect blend of the natural beauty surrounding it. The food in the restaurant was excellent but the service from the wonderful staff was what made the hotel and restaurant really special. All the team was perfectly available and caring, they had very nice attentions for us. The rooms were clean and confortable, we slept very well. And Alpina has the best spa we have ever seen. Although my reservation only included breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that I could get dinner for €20 each evening (five-course menu).
