Anacapri is way quieter than Capri.
Anacapri is way quieter than Capri. I see that as a good thing. Anacapri gets busy during the day with all the day trippers... Thanks to the gondola, Blue grotto etc. But once they leave... that's when Anacapri shines. We loved the quiet evenings, the amazing sunsets, the now empty swimming holes... We loved staying in Anacapri for a weekend...away from the mobs in Capri. Beautiful, friendly little town with terrific restaurants. Really nice in the evenings when most of the tourists are gone. We took the chairlift from right in town up to the top of the mountain. It was amazing. We did go down to Capri one day to take it in...then retreated back to Anacapri! We loved being able to walk to the town from our hotel (San Michelle). It was all so beautiful. The hotel staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants, and what to see. Capri was congested from 10 am till 4 pm. Anacapri was not as filled with tourists. More where the locals live. Lots of little cafes and restaurants. LOVED AummAumm for pizza and pasta. Much easier to grab a bus than in Capri. The shops in Capri are very high end, I liked the shops in Anacapri for my pocketbook! Anacapri is lovely if you don't have mobility problems.
Anacapri is lovely if you don't have mobility problems. It is very hilly and very few pavements so walking is not easy if you have mobility problems. We got taxis everywhere which were easy to get but we had hoped to walk more.Guest review byCaroleUnited Kingdom

Andrei also gave us lots of useful information and restaurant suggestions. The Villa is a perfect location to explore the island. With one of the main bus stops and ticket office being 5 mins walk from the Villa. From here, you can get to the whole island and with the bonus that you get the bus before the other passengers get on at Anacapri. The staff was behind lovely, the building is decorated beautifully, with the perfect island vibe. The rooms are big, comfy with a terrace for yourself. I couldn't recommend to stay here enough! The breakfast was really really good and THE VIEWS made it even better! I really enjoyed staying here. I did enjoy Capri very much, there are a lot of walks you can do to from here.
