I loved the feeling of staying very rural, the accommodation was just perfect. Spotlessly clean and even with the language barrier was still a lovely experience. The breakfast was very nice. I even had a garage to put my car in.

Absolutely beautiful home, the views are exceptional, host was lovely and welcoming. The house is immaculate, fresh eggs and cool water available, due to our circumstances and purchasing a property near by the host talked us through her experience and gave advice over a coffee in her private home, very much appreciated and very very helpful. Sometimes you come across places that could truly be considered hidden gems, so special you almost don’t want to share them because you’d rather keep them to yourself. Barbera e Tulipani is one of those places. Still, I feel the need to share our wonderful experience to both compliment and thank Daniela and Paul for our three-night stay. The newly renovated villa is beautiful, with spacious and spotless rooms. You can immediately tell that everything has been designed with care and attention to detail, from the layout of the rooms to the thoughtful design of the bathroom. The swimming pool is a refreshing escape during the day and is very well maintained. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and Paul was a fantastic host. For us, it was convenient that Paul speaks Dutch. Daniela, an Italian teacher, speaks English almost fluently, close to native level. Even though all of this already sounds like a five-star review, what made our stay truly unforgettable was something else entirely. Daniela grew up in the area, and by simply asking for her recommendations and following them, we were guided to authentic Italian experiences. We discovered cozy local bars, enjoyed incredible meals at less touristy restaurants, and visited charming villages, all thanks to Daniela and Paul’s guidance. One highlight was visiting a hazelnut farm together with Paul and his daughter, who kindly helped translate for us. We ended our stay at a lively village festival, the perfect conclusion to three days that felt both relaxing and enriching. Our time in Monferrato was truly unforgettable. Having stayed two nights in the Langhe area beforehand, I can now say that Monferrato has stolen my heart. Daniela and Paul are the best ambassadors for the region you could possibly wish for, and we can’t wait to return.

Everything! From being met by Marco, our host, to being directed to our rooms. Also, the meeting with the hostess, Pinucchia and her friendly dogs and vibrant garden. The whole experience was interesting, informative, positive and a pleasure to partake. The kind consideration of our hosts made an indelible mark on our experience of staying at Corona Grossa. As a bonus, the town of Brusasco was of great interest too, for its antiquity and that of the surrounding areas, including the Roman site at Industria, thanks, Marco!
