I loved the variety of food offered at breakfast including made to order coffee. I felt the customer service was lacking in all regards. We were only shown to our room, not shown the pool or other property. I assumed the "sister" property was connected this property and it was not. Our A/C did not work and they made no attempt to fix it. They simply provided us with a fan to blow the hot air around. Our little fridge was not cold so our food spoiled. There were no set hours as to when you could get a drink during the day. One moment by the pool the bar was closed; the next minute it was open.Guest review byParkerUnited States - 8.0
The location was fantastic!
The location was fantastic! You are completely surrounded by beauty. The only problem I personally had was the heat... and I was unable to produce cross current ventilation in the downstairs area where my daughter slept on the sofa bed because of the lack of screens on the doors ....and you needed them because of mosquitoes and bees! We loved it .
We loved it . We loved the staff , the wine and the breakfast was magnificent. The gardens were a dream and the kids enjoyed the pool . The restaurant on-site was expensive and the kids would have loved some more basic options . The room was clean and linen good however o feel that the accommodation could be upgraded some what . Beatiful, green and full of nature place. Restaurant serves perfect dinners. Especially meats - it’s a really food-experience. Also great wines from local wineries. Prices in restaurant are little higher than in towns around in Chianti but this is really great food with really great service so I think this 2-4 EUR per dish is not a big problem. The hostess was extremely polite, spoke good English, and was very helpfull with reccomendations! The breakfast freshly prepared and tasty, the rooms clean and spacious and they are modern without compromising the rustic feeling. It was creat that there was AC! Waking up in the morning you hear nothing but silence, since the village is small. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Chianti. The room was great, spacious and very private with its own seperate entrance. We also really enjoyed the Hotel Osetria. The food was excellent and the estates own superb wines being served - all at very reasonable prices for the quality meant we were not tempted to eat elsewhwere for dinner over our 3 night stay.
