Quiet yet exciting Italian city with amazing seafood and great beaches. For us as a couple in our late 20s it was the perfect relaxed stay. You can easily cycle, go for a swim, enjoy Café e Cornetto at a local shop... basically anything that you can do in and around e.g. Rome, but less hasty. There are many German and Austrian tourists (but not the drinking-and-partying-kind), so beware if you're allergic to those in your holiday. Also, we didn't encounter any shady dealers or people who try to sell you "premium stuff" at the beaches or in the streets. We recommend 3-5 days of stay, ideally not around the weekend as the parking situation can be sub-par, and public transport (both within Grado and to reach it from e.g. Austria) is not that great.Guest review byAlexanderAustria - 10.0

The town and the sea were beautiful: ideal for long walks, bathing and relaxation. In case of bad weather there is a thermal bath; for daily or half – daily tours Aquileia, Palmanova and Triest are also a good choice to visit. Our room was clean and spacious and due to an upgrade it even had a little kitchen. The hotel has a little playground in the near of the lobby and the breakfast room so our daughter could play while we enjoyed the great coffee and the varied breakfast (raw and cooked prosciutto, Salami, various cheese, sweets, etc.).
