There is one thing to see and it is spectacular - the castle...
There is one thing to see and it is spectacular - the castle on its own islet with a causeway. Eat at the Aragonese opposite for good food, great music and the best view. There are other places but none were open on a Tuesday in late October. The seafront is easy to walk around, but there is nothing remarkable about the rest of the town. The castle is breathtaking at night when it is floodlit, there are parks for walking and taking photographs, the beach looks nice (but I did not have time) and there is a lot of fishing activity. It's a quiet town with hospitable people - a charming lady saw me looking lost and helped me find the Raggio di Sole. a jewel in a marine natural park, scuba dive and sailing recommended, docking fees very convenient all facilities in place, good simple cuisine,..wonderful surroundings, public beach in 1 km from centre: avoid beach close to castle monument. My hosts made me very welcome, I was even offered a glass of wine at their family dinner (I am sorry I did not say good bye but could not find them). Very comfortable double bed and a great shower. Fabulous huge terrace to read, watch the sunset and the sea. Aldo the best bedside light for reading I have had in 2 months in Italy. Very quiet at night and in the morning too.
