I wouldn't recommend Macugnaga for a summer stay at the foot of the Monte Rosa. The valley is very narrow and rainy. Hikes are limited. On a cloudy day, the place can be slightly sinister. If you wish to see the Monte Rosa in all its glory, rather go to the Ayas or Gressoney valleys or to Zermatt on the Swiss side.Guest review byCarlottaSwitzerland - 10.0
It was perfect tor family.
It was perfect tor family. They have nice small streets to wonder around, a place where you can drink or fill your water bottle with fresh water, some small parks, nice water falls, donkeys. We had a nice walk everyday in a nice cool weather. We had a lunch at one of the restaurants at the central plaza, and it was also delicious. Highly recommended.Guest review byRie NonakaJapan

Alessia, the manager, was always available, friendly, professional and helpful. The location was great, quiet yet in the town center, with balconies with fine views of the Monte Rosa. Restaurants, ton center and grocery store all within 200m. Comfortable room, bed, bathroom and a very pleasant garden for relaxing in view of the mountains.
