Host were lovely, location wasn't great for finding something to eat. Room was located in basement, lacking some modern facilities, cooker used bottled gas. The owners were super helpful with helping us arrange several days out including a guided tour of Etna. We stayed in one of the larger apartments with a mezzanine floor - it was ideal for our family of 4. Spacious, modern, very clean, good aircon, outside table/chairs. The pool area is really nice - plenty of sun loungers and shade if you want it. The Breakfast was good but not amazing. On top of it you'll find some peacocks strolling through it. The location is OK: perfect to visit Catania (20 min. by car), or the Etna. Mascalucia itself isn't that special, but you'll find everything you need close to the property (even some fine dinner options).
