    I love Massa Marittima – this was already my third visit to the city, and I still hope to come back again and again. To me, it feels like a mini Siena, but with the big advantage of being much closer to the seaside.

    A typical walkable Italian town -- tall buildings, narrow streets, impressive churches, delightful shopping, many many ristorantes, an archeological museum with historical civilization artifacts dating 3500 BC. I selected a grilled shrimp dinner that was a bit surprising with the whole 7-8" shrimps (head and all). Of course, enjoyed the gelato.

    Great place to use as base to cover areas like Pisa, Grosetto, Beaches in Follonica and the Laguna of Orbetello. Massa Marritima itself is a nice hillock town with some interesting sight seeing and hikes that can be done,

    Absolutely love this place! The ‘nature & relax’ slogan sums it up perfectly. The views are breathtaking, the pool and hotel grounds are calm and rustic, and there’s plenty of delicious options for breakfast. The rooms are nice and modern and feel luxurious. If this hotel was in a city centre or close to a super touristy destination, it wouldn’t be affordable for us, so the value for money is great; it’s a gorgeous hidden Tuscan gem.

    Very quiet location. I'm a light sleeper but could easily sleep full night without the ear plugs. Beds were also super comfy. The room was very clean and done each morning. All staff are friendly and helpful. Location is a bit remote but still about 7 min drive to nearby village and 20 min to Follonica
