We have recently had the pleasure of staying at this extraordinary hotel in Tuscany, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The service at this hotel is nothing short of perfect. Every request we made was met with a smile and prompt attention. The food was absolutely amazing. Whether it was the breakfast buffet or the elegant dinner, every dish was crafted to perfection. Highly recommend this hotel! We had a fabulous stay and very good value for money. The location was ideal. Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean, and the pool area was lovely. The breakfast was also very tasty. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Francesco in particular was very accommodating and helped us getting to a wine tour when our taxi didn’t work out. All in all a wonderful trip to Montepulciano!

Great hotel right in the city centre of Montepulciano. Only a few steps for the main square . The room was cosy and clean. The only thing we were missing was air-conditioning, because it was so hot. Parking is available not far away from the hotel,but be prepared that streets are very narrow:) But definitely amazing place to stay in Montepulciano. Also, if you are wine lovers, we definitely recommend visiting wine tasting in the De'Ricci cantine. For 25 euros a person you get an amazing tour in old wine cellars + 6 samples of wines. Winery is like 2 minutes fm accommodation.

    Just my wife and I, trying to get some feel for Tuscany.

    Just my wife and I, trying to get some feel for Tuscany. We were on a ridge, overlooking a valley of wine fields and olive tree orchards, and looking up at Montepulciano. View couldn't have been more perfect. Ate dinner in town 2 nights at restaurant recommended by host - really practical and delicious.

    Absolutely LOVE Montepulciano; I have spent extended time here and brought a friend for 2 nights which she thought was perfect. Allowed enough time to see the town, enjoy long meals and leisurely walks to see everything and do some shopping while not having to rush - views are spectacular and people are all so nice and most have enough English to adequately communicate if you don't know any Italian. Wine is fantastic everywhere and it's not priced like a tourist town - prefer it to San Gimignano, Cortona, Orvieto, Todi and Assisi if you only have time to do one (they are all worth visiting though!). Train to Chiusi then bus straight into town if you don't want to rent a car - super simple & reliable schedule but there is free parking and plenty of paid lots if you do rent a car. Also centrally located with, easy visits to several smaller towns like Pienza, and Lucignano if you do have a car and want to extend your stay in same property.

    I was planning to go to Tuscany for a long time.

    I was planning to go to Tuscany for a long time. And with lots of expectation, I was afraid of being disappointed with any minor issue arising during the trip. But I never did. All cities I visited during the trip exceeded my expectations. I could have stayed more nights in Montepulciano.

    Nothing not to like!!

    Nothing not to like!! Ercolani had excellent free winetour and tasting-fantastic wine! Wonderful Pattiserie with great variety of fresh tasty pastries right at entrance of old town! Plenty of good places to eat with great variety. People very friendly! Streets beautiful!

    Many shops and great restaurants,historical buildings,especially churches. Not a far drive from many other spots like Forance, Sienna, etc. And it's in the middle of wine country! Parking can be a problem

    Like living in a farm house in the Tuscan countryside. The breakfast area was spacious and well decorated. Most of the rooms have excellent views, and balconies. Our room was spacious, with an armoire and a desk, The breakfast was our best in Italy, with numerous options available (chosen the night before), and everything was top quality (charcuterie, cheeses, home made pastries). Breakfast service was personal and delightful. The wild boars seen while returning one evening were a bonus o:)

    The breakfast was the best we ever had in Italy. Christelle is from Switzerland and makes everything fresh, everyday a lot of different choices including Croissants and Zopf :) From the eating area you can see over fields of olive trees and in the other direction grape wines. Very clean agriturismo. Our kids loved the dog Aki, and the there was also a cat. Thank you Christelle and Marco, we felt very much at home.

    What a fantastic place! We have been travelling in Italy for more than a month and this is definitely one of the best. The location and the view are simply the best.     It is such a beautiful Italian-style hotel. It lies in the hills just outside of Montepulciano. You can get to the centre by car, and still enjoy the quiet surrounding of the hotel. The swimming pool is so relaxing, especially combined with the Nottal Wine. This is Tuscany!
