Wonderful area of peace and tranquility. well away from commercial areas and a piece of real Italy set in wonderful landscape. Only 20 minutes from Vada beach and 50 mins from Baratti beach. In between the two is San Vincenzo beach. Just under an hour from Volterra or San Gimignano, you can do one in the morning and one in the afternoon. A bit touristy but lovely views. Use the local bar for coffee and snacks plus the local two shops for provisions. Fresh baguettes every morning. The Buddhist School is a must, very welcoming to visitors and it has a cafe.
