We arrived after dark because our car had been broken into and all our belongings taken. Because we were so late our host put us in touch with his father, who could not have been kinder. We were unable to navigate after our ordeal so he came to meet us, get us parked, and then took us to our room. It is right along the "main drag" in Porto Ercole and was the perfect place for us to chill out and regroup so that we could continue our journey. Many thanks to you both!

    Porto Ercole is a wonderful hidden gem on Monte Argentario.

    Porto Ercole is a wonderful hidden gem on Monte Argentario. It is a small town with lots of great restaurants and activities. We had a wonderful snorkeling day trip, drove to Porto Santo Stefano for a day at the beach, and enjoyed the ambiance and liveliness of the town. I did wish that we had more knowledge of how to book the beach umbrellas and chairs at the various beaches ahead of time, as we were there in August and the shade was a must! I would have liked to have had more time to do some hiking in other areas of Monte Argentario, that would be most logical to do in the cooler weather. Very friendly town with nice restaurants, great gelato and lovely people.

    We visited Isoletta Beach, which requires a bit of a walk after parking, but it’s absolutely beautiful! We rented chairs and an umbrella—though pricey, the facilities were excellent, with clean restrooms and a convenient food truck. We also spent time at the rooftop bar Scirocco, just past the hairpin turn. The valet parking was a much-appreciated touch. The views, service, drinks, and aperitifs were all outstanding. Unfortunately, the power was out in town, so most places were closed, but we did manage to visit Bar Porto, which is right on the water. Also visited Feniglia beach on our way out of town, gorgeous, sandy and spacious. Get to the beaches early in the day to find parking! Wish we had time to explore other areas on the island.

    Beautiful Port on monte argentario one of the exclusive...

    Beautiful Port on monte argentario one of the exclusive upmarket vacation destinations for an upmarket clientele with their yachts and villas on the hillside. Monte argentario has stunning views looking out towards the islands of giglio and giannutri. Car quoted to explore monte argentario and visit its many beaches. Perfect place fir diving snorkeling and enjoying Tuscan food and nature. The monte is dotted with cypress and e olive trees. From porto santo stefano you can catch a ferry yo to the nearby islands.

    We liked the marina in Porto Ercole but found it had a limited selection of restaurants - fine for our 3 night stay. If visiting again I would try to find an apartment overlooking the marina rather than staying in a hotel or stay in Orbetello, which had a more lively atmosphere.

    Very beautiful little village but absolutely nothing to do. Has very few restaurants and shops. Getting around is not easy at all. You need to have a car. There is no taxi, Uber. Maybe one bus with a very limited service.

    The room was very clean, modern and beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the AC in the room was the perfect temperature. The host is thoughtful, informative and responsive. The room always had water, tea/coffee and snacks which we greatly appreciated. The place provided parking nearby which is also a must since parking can be difficult in Porto Ercole. I would highly recommend this place and we would stay here again on our next visit to Porto Ercole

    Excellent location near to the marina & eateries and very easy to find. The room was very clean, the bed was really comfy and there were a selection of breakfast items included, which were replenished each morning. The balcony was a good size and great for sitting in the evening warmth before going to dinner. Alessandro was very communicative and check-in was quick & easy.

    The apartment was really nice and had everything we needed. Nice kitchen and balcony with views over the marina. The location was really good, close to some beaches and lovely small villages. Good for a peaceful stay. Our host Sierra was the best! She was very helpful and answered all our requests instantly.

    This basic but comfortable apartment is pleasantly located just a short walk up from the harbour. It is conveniently located close to restaurants, the stop for the local bus and a small supermarket. In particular, we found Rita to be most helpful throughout our stay in Porto Ercole.
