Rome is wonderful. I like to go for about 6-10 days. This is ideal for seeing sights, having a few days to wonder around on my own time, and maybe take a day trip! I have many places to recommend! For transportation, walk! But if need be, busses work just fine as long as you leave time for delays, but trains are the best. It's an amazing city but it has a dreadful problem with crime on its public transport network. Pick pocketing is rife. That said, the public transport is good with all the major "much see" things within easy reach from the Metro. The Leonardo express train is an excellent way of getting from Fuimicino airport into the heart of the city. €14 each way. Try and do a guided food tour. One more day might have been better. The main attractions, the Coloseum, the Vatican, Trevi fountain were VERY crowded even though we booked early morning tours and this was early October. However, the public transport is a bit chaotic, but most of all, way overcrowded, so much so that it seriously got on my nerves. Rome was as it always is - amazing. the food is always superb, the culture and history wonderful, the people friendly. What we were not anticipating was how crowded it was....our favorite spot in the city, the Campo dei Fiori, was absolutely overwhelmed by tourists and the Campo had became very touristy since out last visit years ago. Any popular spot was overwhelmed by people. But we realized that we traveled during a high period in a Jubilee year. But any time in Rome is worth it!Guest review byAnonymous

Giorgio arranged for a late check-in for us as we arrived late and a self check-out, he was available online for any questions we had. It took us 15-20 mins to get to the historical Rome center. The place is really big and comfortable, there are 2 rooms - a living room with kitchenette and a spacious bedroom. The place is very stylish and well-equipped.
